Roles and Responsibilities

  • To provide support to the VM function in executing the retail company policy and standards across stores in all regions.
  • Process Contribution Process Outcome Performance Measure
  • Develop the estimate of demand, production, sales, and resultant inventory for all categories of Apparels. Plan the revision of AMS for demand loading and periodically monitor it according to the mix of new products expected in the next 3 months over 6 months period.
  • Setting the norms for all stores for all categories along with Category Managers.
  • Generate the indents for all categories for new developments and repeat products.
  • Closely working with Category Managers to form the store norms across all categories with understanding of Core and Regional products.
  • Conduct meetings with the Category Team to accurately forecast the new product demand for every store based on the product details like pricing, features, target customers etc.
  • Forecast the demand for new categories that would be introduced in the future based on certain rationale and industry knowledge.
  • Manage any skew in sales based on regionality, local festivals or any other marketing led activities resulting in sales surge etc.
  • Conduct action planning on sales review and sales & operations discussion.
  • Receive and record all the VM kits and manuals received from corporate teams.
  • Record and submit proof of installation to the corporate teams and escalate in case of any issue.
  • Facilitate a smooth feedback channel related to the VM kits from stores/ regional teams.
  • Ensure availability of the ROM, graphics, decorations and craft walls for new store launches.
  • Create store VM planograms in coordination with category and regional teams during any new store or collection launch.
  • Collect and apprise the feedbacks from relevant stakeholders regarding the quality of ROM, display graphics, creatives etc. to the Manager VM Compliance Apparels.
  • Conduct periodic study in existing stores to optimize the product display space and maximize product visibility.
  • Identify new spots within stores to enhance visual product display.
  • Approve the stock allocation across stores and develop plan in line with defined product mix.
  • Approve the settings for buffer for ecommerce channel requirement based on seasonality and mobilizing stocks for enabling sales.
  • Coordinate with sales and ISCM teams to finalize on the rolling 3- month sales plan.
  • Collate and analyze retail sales data across channels and develop understanding and use it for managing the inventory more efficiently.
  • Manage the ageing of Inventory based on analysis of stock.
  • Create MIS Reports for stock availability across locations.
  • Replenishment of all stores aligned to norms and sales trend.
  • Market understanding and setting up stock norms for all new stores and manage the existing stores.
  • Needs to closely work with BM on new store set up – closely co- ordinate with the IRSG team.
